Privacy Policy

PurinCare (“we”, “us”, “our”) is built privacy-first: there is no account, and your data stays on your device. This policy explains what we process, how, and the controls you have.

1. Information we collect

PurinCare works without an account, so we do not collect your name, email, or a password. The information you create — your gout profile (uric acid value, age, sex, flare frequency), meals and food photos, hydration, reminders, and uric acid results — is stored on your device. If you connect Apple Health, we read the sleep data you authorize. We do not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-tracking SDKs.

2. How we use your information

We use your information only to run the app’s features — meal and habit tracking, AI food scanning, meal plans, reminders, uric acid trends, and sleep insights — and to keep the app working reliably. To power AI features, your food photo (when you scan a meal) and the sleep metrics computed on your device (when you ask for sleep coaching) are sent to our AI provider, Google, solely to return your result. We never use your data for advertising.

3. Apple Health

Apple Health data is read on your device and used only to compute the sleep metrics behind sleep coaching; we do not upload your raw Apple Health records. In line with Apple’s requirements, this data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never sold. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the providers needed to run the app — Google (AI analysis) and Apple and our subscription provider (to process subscriptions) — each only for that purpose. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Storage, retention and your choices

Because PurinCare is local-first, your data stays on your device until you erase it in the app (Profile › reset / erase data) or uninstall the app. You can revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings, and manage or cancel your subscription in App Store › Subscriptions.

6. Security

Data sent to our providers is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS), and information on your device is protected by your device’s own security. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize what leaves your device.

7. Children

PurinCare is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in-app.
